A short walk around town:

The 'Marktplatz' was just a few steps from my hotel. When I arrived on Friday, it was bustling with stalls.

This is Sts Peter and Paul church.

Is that tree hovering over the Marktplatz?

A new apartment block with Dreifaltigkeitsburg in the distance.

"Everything must go!" reads the sale sign in this shop selling Fasnet costumes.

This is the Sauter building in 2008. This is roughly looking south. The buildings down the street adjacent to this building were part of the factory as well. This building was sold in about 1988 when the factory was consolidated into a single building and retail operations ceased.

This is me in a photo taken in 1974 when last I visited Spaichingen of the same building as left. At the time, Sauter had a retail operation as well as manufacturing. Besides selling Sauter pianos, this showroom also offered Steinway, Bösendorfer and Kawai pianos.

Here's the tree in the Marktplatz. The bark was stripped from a rather tall tree to make the Christmas tree for the town.
